Beautiful organic cabbage from a fellow vendor, Greene Earth Farm - Palenville, NY (Saugerties Market). We use it in our lime marinated cole slaw.

 

Delicious strawberries from Greig farm in Red Hook, NY used in our Aqua Fresca. We also used them in our recent dessert tamales at the Beacon Strawberry Festival- Strawberry and Queso blanco!

We are also pleased to announce that ZABAR's in NYC at 2245 Broadway will be carrying our tamales and other products. We're delivering to them on Thursday, June 28th and can make home and office deliveries in NYC that day. Please place these orders by Monday June 25th. (Delivery fee $7.00.)

Parrothead Festival this Saturday

This Saturday, June 23rd, we are participating in the Parrothead Festival at the Saratoga County Fairgrounds. Come out for "Inspired Island Fun and Jimmy Buffet Tribute Bands."

We'll also be at the Saugerties Farmers Market this Saturday. We're there every other weekend.

And of course, we'll be at Kingston on Saturday and Rhinebeck on Sunday.

Post Clearwater

Great turnout at Clearwater Festival last weekend! Thanks to everyone who tried our tamales. We'll be sure to make extra tamales for you next year! 

Clearwater Music Festival, Croton on Hudson

This weekend,  June 16th and June 17th we'll be serving our tamales and specials at the Clearwater Music Festival at Croton Point Park. Croton-on-Hudson, NY 11:30-8:30pm.

Saturday Markets

Starting this Saturday, Block Factory Tamales will be at the Saugerties and Kingston Farmers Markets.  


In addition to our Tamales, we are offering some special menu items this Saturday: 

The  Saugerties Farmers Market starts at 10am - 2pm.  Since it's an early start, we will be offering a breakfast burrito made with free range eggs, bacon or sausage from Northwind Farms in Tivoli.

At the Kingston Farmers Market, we will be offering for the first time free range Chicken Satay with Peanut dipping sauce. 

We are also offering 2 types of delicious chimichangas! 

One is a cellophane noodle with shredded carrot and mint. 
The other is Slow roasted garlic basil pork.
Served with wasabi dipping sauce and horseradish vegan aeoli.  

 

And don't forget to try our Shiitake Mushroom Pesto and our Block Factory Hot Sauce! 

Vegan Shiitake Mushroom Pesto

We are excited to have you try our new Vegan Shiitake Mushroom Pesto! It is so delicious and contains a vegan cheese substitute called Parma instead of Parmesean cheese. Made using Shiitake mushrooms, fresh basil, walnuts, jalapeno peppers, crushed red peppers, olive oil, salt and pepper.

It's great spread on a bread or crackers. You can also use it in pasta or salads or spread it over fish or steak.

Mother's Day at Rhinebeck

This Sunday, we will be at the Rhinebeck Farmer's Market.

The special for Mother's Day will be free Agua Fresca to any mom! The Agua Fresca flavor will be Yellow Plum and Strawberries.

 

We will have 2 new special Empanadas tomorrow: 

Chipotle Chicken Pot Pie and 

Slow-cooked, basil garlic Pork and Sweet Potato

Served with homemade salsa and sourcream
